My grandmother, Lula Mae “Lou” Brady was the hospitality queen in our neighborhood and beyond. Everybody loved her cooking. I remember watching her prepare meals with a lot of love, thoughtfulness, and soul- all wrapped with kindness.
Cooking daily for a family of 10 was probably challenging, but she never missed having hot meals on the table.
Her random “just because” cake or pie surprises would bring a smile on anyone’s face and leave them humming a tune as they ate the deliciousness created.
Dinnertime was family time, when the day stood still and conversations were held around the table. It was a time we looked forward to every single day- food wrapped in love, a culinary experience I would like to offer as I follow my southern hospitality roots.
My goal is to provide quality home cooked meals that will create an experience of southern cooking, in which every bite is wrapped with love and kindness.
